Precious' goal in life is to be loved! She loves to be petted, cuddled with and will follow you anywhere. We call her "blanket" since she will lay on your lap or lay on your chest when you're laying down. She is obedient in coming when called, staying in an unfenced yard (under supervision) and walking politely on a leash. She has a few accidents when we don't know she needs to go outside, but with frequent potty trips, she doesn't have accidents often. She barks on command, sits, lays down, kennels (walks into her kennel) and drops (a toy... sometimes). Her favorite toy is a ball of any size. Precious needs lots of exercise. She is a high energy dog that needs to walk, run or play hard each day. She will play fetch until you are tired and will join in any other game with you or another dog. She will chase / run with you while you're riding a bike or driving a go-cart. She is a bit insecure around new dogs, but when introduced correctly, she does great and has no aggression or competitive attitude.

Precious was previously at the Janesville, WI shelter where she was very stressed and lost a lot of weight. We are currently feeding her puppy food to get her to gain her weight back. From what the shelter knew, she was very isolated and neglected in her previous home. She gets along with cats and considers them friends. She would do best in a home where the owners are very strong in dog discipline and know how to be the "Alpha".

Precious gets along with all ages of children, but would do best in a home with children older than 5 since she is very high energy and has the potential to knock a smaller child down. She would love to have another playmate (dog/s) in her family, but would do ok if dog socialization is kept up and if she gets exercised each day.

She is one of those jems among the American Bulldogs we have had at our home and our boys (we have 3 - 13,11,8) have thouroughly enjoyed playing with her and taking her on walks.
