She is a well mannered dog. She was attacked by another dog as a puppy and has scars on her hind legs. Candy CAN NOT be around other dogs at all! Other than that, she knows sit, stay, shake, come, kennel up. Candy is a very affectionate dog with people and loves kids. She is being fostered in a home with a 4yr old and a 1 month old and she has never done anything to the kids. She will allow the 4yr old to take food out of Candy's mouth. You can leave food sit out anywhere and Candy will not touch it without you saying ok.
Candy needs someone who can give her a lot of attention and focus. She is very well trained, We've never had any accidents in the house. When we leave for the day, she is put into her kennel and does not bark. She only barks when someone knocks at the door, other than that she very rarely barks.
Candy also enjoys walks and playing outside. However, she is terrified of thunderstorms.....she will be right at your side for comfort!
I believe that she does bond more to a male. Candy needs someone who can keep her in check, She weighs around 90-95lbs.
Candy is a special needs dog & needs medication every day. Fortunately, this medication is very inexpensive!! She is a really cool dog and very well behaved. She just needs the right person or family to spend more time with her..
